Route Description
The route takes approximately 3 and a half hours. Starting at the Regional Tourist Office (1 hour through the old town, where we visit the Iglesia Asunción de Nuestra Señora, the Puente de los Panaderos and the Arco de Somera), and then on to the Acequia de Aynadamar (approximately 2 hours; we pass by the Fuente de las Lágrimas, the Parque Federico García Lorca and the Barranco de Víznar) by bus from the Flor de Cuba bus stop.
What will we see?


Iglesia Asunción de Nuestra Señora.
Dating from the mid-16th century, it was erected on the site of the former Moorish mosque. It is a clear example of the new order that was imposed after the Christian conquest.
Arco de Somera.
Dating back to the Moorish period, it shows how Alfacar was shaped in the past.
Acequia de Aynadamar
One of Alfacar’s hallmarks is the quality of its water. Discover this historic place that has nurtured the land for centuries and inspired poets who remain in our memories forever. On this route, we will visit the Fuente de las Lágrimas, the Parque Federico García Lorca and the Barranco de Víznar, a place of Historical Memory.
